Work Experience
Assisted in the rollout of various applications/upgrades, built Linux systems, created Win32/Unix security/system/information gathering scripts, and performed limited troubleshooting diagnostics.
Tools used on the job include a large variety of Unix distributions, NT, Perl, and several miscellaneous system administration tools.
Worked extensively on in-house order management/inventory/manufacturing tracking system. Provided support, debugging, minor development, database correction, and query generation for the system and its users. Tools used on the job include ORACLE, Access, SQL, Unix, NT, C, PVCS, and the Visual C++ editor.
Sorted and delivered mail for approximately 450 Lexis Nexis employees. This experience provided a unique perspective on how a large information corporation's departments work together. Tools used on the job include Mail Mobiles, Delivery Equipment, and a corporate directory program.
Worked as a lifeguard at Old River, a private park of NCR. At the pool, duties included watching over customers, performing rescues, and pool maintenance tasks. At the boat dock, duties included assisting customers into and out of their canoes, giving brief boating tutorials, patrolling the lagoon, and performing rescues. Weekly training/team building excercises were also undertaken. Tools used on the job include canoes, motor boats, float tubes, backboard stretchers, and of course the whistle.

L'Auberge Restaurant (August 1995 - October 1995)

Worked as a dishwasher in this four star french restaurant. Duties included scrubbing pots and pans, operating the industrial dish/glass washing machine, and peeling potatoes.
Worked as a bagger at the local supermarket. Duties included bagging groceries, fetching carts from the parking lot, cleaning the store, and helping customers find things or get groceries to their car.
Delivered newspapers for a local community newspaper. A friend and I operated two routes in our neighborhood splitting the work equally between us.
