Operating Systems
DOS 1990-2001 From an old 286 to a shiny new Athlon, I use it daily. Extreme Familiarity.
Windows 95, 98 1995-2001 Used daily, I could practically install either of these blindfolded. Extreme Familiarity.
Windows 3.1, Milenium 2000-2001 Used Windows 3.1 briefly on an old laptop, used Milenium on friends' computers while setting up/installing hardware for them. Milenium is essentially an extension of Windows 98 so I have strong familiarity there, poor familiarity with Windows 3.1.
Windows NT, 2000 1997-2001 Used NT daily at Metatec and CompuServe, also occassinally in Ohio State labs. Used 2000 at home off and on for about a year. Strong Familiarity.
Solaris 2.6, 2.7 1997-2001 Primary work environment at OSU, also used extensively at CompuServe. This is the Unix distribution that I am most familiar with. Novice System Administrator Familiarity.
HPUX, BSD 2000-2001 Used various HPUX and BSD distributions intermittently at CompuServe. Intermediate User Familiarity.
RedHat, Debian 2000-2001 Used RedHat extensively at home and at CompuServe. Later switched to Debian for better package management/easier upgrades. Intermediate System Administrator Familiarity.
BeOS 1999 Experimented with at home for a few weeks, long enough to get everything working and become familiar with most of the configuration. Novice Familiarity.

Programming Languages
Perl 2000-2001 Used weekly if not daily. It is my scripting language. Example projects include my Stock Database, fantasy baseball league website and database, various windows and unix scripts, and some math tinkering. Intermediate-Strong Familiarity.
C/C++ 1998-2001 Primary Academic programming languages, used to varrying degrees in about 8 different classes. Also used C extensively at Metatec. Example projects include: implementing various data structures/sorts, a simulator/assembler/linker-loader, an interpretter, maze navigation program, and others. Intermediate-Strong Familiarity.
Java 1999 Used primarily in a short crash course in Java. Typical projects included building GUI's, a mail program, and other very simple programs. Novice Familiarity.
Pascal 1997 Used in an intro to programming class at OSU. Novice Familiarity.
Lisp, Scheme 2000 Used Common Lisp in a crash course at OSU, used Scheme briefly in a Programming Languages course. Lisp and Scheme are functional languages that require a completely different mind set than traditional languages like C++. This is something I have not yet mastered. Novice Familiarity.

Database Tools
SQL 2000-2001 Used extensively at Metatec and with personal projects (Stock Database, fantasy baseball league). Intermediate Familiarity.
MS Access 2000-2001 Used extensively at Metatec and with personal projects. Intermediate-Strong Familiarity.
Oracle 2000 Used semi-frequently while at Metatec. Novice User Familiarity.
Sybase 2001 Used in a database course at Ohio State. Novice User Familiarity.

Web Technology
HTML 1997-2001 Used regularly in web pages, occasionally in documentation. My favorite HTML editors are things like Emacs, Notepad, Edit Plus2, and vi. Strong Familiarity.
CGI 2001 Used for form processing and page generation for the fantasy baseball league website. Novice Familiarity.
MS Personal Web Server 2000-2001 Used to host a variety of sites over the past two years. Novice-Intermediate Familiarity.
JavaScript 2000 Used occassionally in various pages for things like OnMouseOver's, also used briefly in version one of the fantasy baseball league website. I learned just enough to do what I needed. Complete Novice.
ASP 2000 Used briefly in version one of the fantasy baseball league website. I learned just enough to get access to my database. Complete Novice.

Networking
Net Protocols 2000-2001 Knowledge of the OSI layers and various protocols such as TCP, IP, Ethernet, Token Ring, HTTP, FTP, POP, SMTP. This knowledge is a mixture of information gathered through class, experimentation, and troubleshooting. Strong Familiarity.
Packet Sniffers 1999-2001 Familiar with the use of a variety of packet sniffers. Intermediate-Strong Familiarity.
Network Cable 2000-2001 Experience running/crimping cat5/RJ45 networking cable for my apartment. Intermediate Familiarity.
Equipment 2000-2001 Knowledge of Hubs, Routers, switches, what they do and how they do it. Intermediate Familiarity.
Zany Miscellany
Hardware 1997-2001 Experience installing all manner of PC hardware and assembling PCs. Strong Familiarity.
Services 2000-2001 Experience setting up and running a variety of services on different platforms: telnet, ftp, ssh, smtp
Software 1997-2001 Experience with a variety of software like MS Office, Exceed, Reflection, Adobe Photoshop, Visual Studio, PVCS, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, ICQ, AIM, Eudora, etc....

Support 2000-2001 Experience with phone support, problem resolution, trouble ticket, and change log systems.
Talking with Users 2000-2001 Experience talking with users to coax additional information from them and iron out specification deails.
